This is not permissible on the current EAD authorized on the basis of recommendation from the transfer-out school. An F-1 student must maintain status and be in good academic standing. How can an F-1 student find out the status of an application for employment authorization?
However, an F-1 student may work for a contractually affiliated company such as a school bookstore, because it provides services to students. For example, an F-1 student cannot work for a construction company, even if the job site is on the campus. How does the application process for off-campus employment start?
